Game Changer: Is Kiara Advani all set to captivate the South?

To name an actress that does not disappoint, Kiara Advani takes the credit. Carefully administered dialogues, unmatched screen presence and dependable acting are all qualities that great actors possess and there is no doubt in the fact that such professionalism is also present in the performance delivered by the artist.

It is not overarching to say that Advani has not had many chances to showcase her true potential in South Indian films. Her onscreen debut (she had only worked in Magadheera as a child artist before) alongside  Mahesh Babu in the action film Bharat Ane Nenu was well received, but it did not leave a mark upon the audience. Following which, the release of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, co-starring Ram Charan received mixed reviews from movie critics. With fate playing a fickle hand, can Kiara Advani defy the odds and charm the audience this time?

Game changer, set to release in December 2024, has already gathered a lot of commotion anticipating the role of Ram Charan as police officer Ram Nandan in the political drama. With a budget that has been constantly increasing to an estimate of ₹450 crores, it can be predicted that director S. Shankar is on the move to make another box office blockbuster.

Not much information has been released about Advani’s character. It can be envisioned that as the film’s title suggests a political theme, Kiara Advani might be portraying a character involved in politics, perhaps a politician, a political strategist, or someone closely connected to political figures. But there is no doubt that the audience will get to witness the beauty in a leading role, opposite Ram Charan himself.

The film has already received countless good wishes from actors and directors alike, with a fantastic muhurat shot on 8 September 2021 ,the filming for the movie commenced officially at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad with a traditional pooja ceremony attended by hitmakers Ranveer Singh, Chiranjeevi, and even S. S. Rajamouli!

On the other hand, director S. Shankar has been positively vocal about working with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, mentioning, “It was different. Even if Karthik gave the basic story, I gave it to writers and developed it, and even after that, I completed the final version myself. I enjoyed that process.”

Will director S. Shankar’s creative vision be fulfilled in Game Changer? Will Ram Charan be able to fill in double roles for the movie? Will Kiara Advani be successful in her attempt at wooing the audience with her charm? For answers to all the above questions, don’t forget to catch the grand release of Game Changer at your nearest theatres!
