The happy occasion of the festival of lights calls for a house anthem that will have everyone up and on the floor. Especially during a festival like Deepavali (Diwali) which is known as the festival of lights primarily celebrated by Hindus across the world, a hip-shaker is the ultimate deal to get in the mood!

Solo Violin: Shaking up Kollywood


Meet the new kid on the block, Tamil banger Solo Violin is currently reaching for the stars! The song has been making the rounds as a viral hit or a popular song that has also come to be associated with festive celebrations. The cinema industry in Tamil Nadu, known as Kollywood, is famous for producing catchy film soundtracks with energetic and vibrant music suitable for dancing. Artists like Anirudh Ravichander, A.R. Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and D. Imman have produced numerous hits that can liven up a festive atmosphere.

Keeping up the same spirit, the Yuvan Shankar Raja stunner is a romantic folk song set against the backdrop of a wedding. Sung by Haricharan and written by Pa Vijay, Kollywood is up for a spin with the Diwali release from Vishnu Vardhan’s rom-com Nesippaya.

What’s more in store?

Following an event held in Chennai that was felicitated by actor Nayanthara, the poster for the film was released which showcased the two leading actors embracing in the back of a car. With the trending hashtag #ArjunDiya, the pairing that is bound to sweep the audience off their feet, the film also promises a “tale of love beyond measures and morals.”

Nesippaya marks the debut of actor Akash, who is the youngest son of late actor Murali and actor Atharvaa’s younger brother. The film boosts a beautiful ensemble of talented actors such as Sarath Kumar, Prabhu Ganesan, Khushbu Sundar, Kalki Koechlin, Shiv Panditt and George Kora.

Portraying quite a number of picturesque foreign locations, the viewers will be able to enjoy the setting of Portugal and Spain apart from the old faithful Bengaluru and Chennai.
